You never know when your horse will be hurt. If you are like me, you hate that helpless feeling of… "What Can I Do RIGHT NOW to Help My Horse"! With NutraWound™ on hand you can turbo blast your horses healing power right away.
Rapid improvement of wounds requires adequate blood supply to the injured area and the production of collagen to repair tissue. The body's own healing process of injuries requires nitric oxide in large amounts. Nitric Oxide is a chemical produced by the body that keeps blood vessels dilated, increasing blood flow and stimulating collagen production. It also has a wide variety of other effects, including killing bacteria and viruses and promoting the body's own healing of wounds and ulcers. Nitric Oxide is depleted by stress, (injuries are stressful). Insufficient production of Nitric Oxide can slow the body's own healing process.
Please note that gastrointestinal health greatly affects the body’s ability to respond and heal. If healing is delayed, or ulcers are suspected, we recommend beginning each protocol with GastroPLUS. Single dose of GastroPLUS morning and night for 10 days then, single dose of GastroPLUS in the morning and a single dose of NutraWound in the evening. After 30 days, if the body still needs healting time, you can switch to the top dress formula for both products.
“Thank you for giving my horse his life back!” April, 2007, I was told, “Confine him to a stall for the rest of his life.” The directive came from a world renowned equine clinic in Southern California. They said there was nothing available to resolve his issues. Instead, thanks to Nitric Oxide products from Giddy Up Go, we are preparing to compete in Dressage at Second Level!
HistoryWe began noticing a change in King back in July, 2006. A very beautiful and active Arabian training third level Dressage, King suddenly had trouble maintaining a rhythmic canter. By October he began losing weight, his gaits got more restricted, he became extremely girthy and came off the cross-ties severely lame after tacking up. And suddenly, almost overnight, King lost his top-line, the sheen in his coat and all sparkle from his eye. Perhaps most importantly, his personality also changed. He lost his curiosity and playfulness land simply stood around with a glazed look in his eye.
My local vet theorized it was a deficiency in testosterone, common in geldings at certain times of the year. Our naturopathic vet diagnosed a broken or separated rib and suggested it would take up to six months to heal. Conventional vets disregarded that conclusion, conducted a battery of tests including full body nuclear scan, ultrasounds and x-rays, and concluded he had a degenerative suspensory condition for which there is no treatment. They said he should be confined to prevent a major break and accelerated deterioration. The conventional vet who provided a second opinion suggested I “ride him till he breaks.” His perspective was that a shorter life with some activity would be better than a long life of confinement. Meanwhile King continued to lose muscle mass and spirit.
TreatmentGiven his discomfort with the girth, we suspected stomach issues and after limited success with mild remedies, we administered a month long course of the allopathic ulcer remedy Gastroguard. King showed some improvement in his spirit, but declined within a month of terminating the treatment. We scoped for ulcers and could not detect any (scoping is a very incomplete diagnostic tool since it cannot access the entire digestive tract.)In spite of the results, I was convinced he was experiencing distress and so we began GastroPLUS from Giddy Up Go.
Within a month he was becoming more spirited, regaining his glow and energy. On light trail rides he offered trot and spooks and in the arena was able to maintain a trot for 10 minutes. His canter was still an issue but he had been sick for roughly a year at this point with significant muscle wasting, so we assumed he lacked strength. In September we introduced NitrOxid to improve his overall system and concluded GastroPLUS. He continued to improve and we began working him lightly (15 to 20 minutes) in the arena 2-3 times a week. In October, we added NutraWound to his regimen to target the suspensories we were now working. Two weeks later we had our best ride in 15 months! King was not only able to canter and trot, he was supple enough for lateral work. Since that time we had continued to balance his work between arena and trail, and with consistent, moderate lessons 2-3 times a week, we are preparing for competition at Second Level.
NOTE: It has been 2 months since I wrote this testimonial. Last weekend King received a score in the 60s on his Second Level test and we are doing more upper level work during lessons.
ConclusionIt remains unclear what specifically caused Kings issues which ranged from muscle wasting to a degenerative suspensory condition. However, it is clear that the Nitric Oxide products from Giddy Up Go were instrumental in returning him to a healthy state. We rechecked the suspensories and there has been no further deterioration, in spite of his increased workload. I am convinced that my horse is productive and happy today as a result of these Nitric Oxide products.” U. Conway
“My 3 year old whiz filly pulled her suspensory. The vet told me 6 months. I put her on NutraWound and noticed improvement the first week. I tried it for 4 weeks and noticed my filly was moving as if nothing happened. I thought to myself this cannot be. I turned her out in a small paddock for 20 minutes and she went crazy. Thinking to myself, She is going back to stall rest. Amazingly she was completely sound the next day. I am now training again after 7 weeks. I told my Vet and he honestly could not believe it! I believe 100% in your product.” Lisa
“My gelding has visually improved from his “mystery lameness” after being on NutraWound for a month. I hope he continues to improve so he can run again. I LOVE this product!” Kristin
“I also used the NutraWound on my puppy that had a broken hip and have to have a rod put in. Her recovery was awesome, and the vet was amazed that we were able to take the rod out earlier than expected.” SW
“Yesterday afternoon we gelded our palomino yearling. I double dosed him with NutraWound last night, and dosed him again this morning. This colt is totally, completely UNPHASED!!! NO swelling what so ever!! NO soreness what so ever!! He's running, bucking and playing like nobody’s business and unless you knew for a fact he was just gelded yesterday, you would not believe it. I am absolutely stunned!
No Kidding! I thought I had about seen it all, this is the first time I had used it in this capacity and I am amazed! He should have swelling and he should be eating a pretty big dose of sore humble pie, moving stiff and gingerly, not wanting to move much but NOPE!! He's just trucking all over the pasture running laps from one end to the other like he was last week.” KH
“Isn't it something how NutraWound continues to amaze us?!? You would think after we have seen so many amazing results, it wouldn't amaze us anymore, but it just still continues to do so. In my mind there is just nothing that NW cannot help the body heal.” SS
